I reserved what used to be a premium campsite but no longer is, campsite 60. The view of the lake was somewhat obstructed by what seems to be marshland(?) but a short minute walk takes to lakeside, so it was convenient in that sense. Campsite comes with a table, food storage cabinet (bring a lock!), and a fire pit. The bathrooms were super close and cleaned daily by staff which is great. Showers require you to bring quarters; I believe it started at 50 cents for a 1 minute shower and $1.25 for a max of 5 minutes. So bring a roll of quarters people! lol I had to go into the nearby town of Lakeport which was less than a 15 min drive to a Chase bank to get the quarters. Also, they sell firewood at the entrance for $8-9 a bundle I believe, but since I was already in town, I stopped at a Grocery Outlet store and it was cheaper there. I think the bundle was around the 5 dollar mark. The lake water was a bit murky, so we went over to the day use area and swam there as it wasn't as murky as the water near our campsite. Overall, great experience but the 4 star rating was mainly due to the campsite specific view (well you get what you pay for, so... paying for a premium site next time) and, ANTS- Not the kind that bite, but it was annoying waking up to ants in the tent. Bring bug spray too, mosquitos get ya at night!

The Clear Lake is delightful, you will enjoy it if you are looking for nice view, calm and not crowded camping experience. We has camping site 59 which is near the lake. The spot is awesome. But not shaded and slightly smaller size, it is fine for 2 tents. The weather was 82-86°F under the sun. But I felt 100° 🏜 that is too hot to set up the tent and prep food without shade. I mean it! Most of the restrooms are closed due to the sewer problems. Each location has only 1 restroom, which is still clean and well maintained. People does fishing and swimming, too. If you have boat, fishing may be a good idea. But the lake does not look clean after 11 am, that is why I do not prefer to swim here. Both camping host and ranger were friendly and kind to my family and me, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask them. Be aware of the mosquitoes, they are at everywhere and at the evening they will have a meeting next to your tent 🤦🏻‍♀️ (if you forget the bug sprey or sun cream, do not worry. There are grocery stores close by the state park within 15 mins) Our overall experience is good, and I can recommend it.

I do think they need to really look there a handicap camping space to be near the bathrooms as far as I see in the spots that I have been to there are no campgrounds next to the bathroom for handicapped people I do see next to the bathrooms 1234 campsites in my area which is 27 through 60 I think and then the other one that's above that at 97 I didn't see no I did not see no campgrounds that are handicapped near the restrooms that is what means to say that you have handicap places closer to the restrooms in any other campground space otherwise it's been okay my campground me to the handicap campground is right out in the middle of the Sun and you can't even sit there a handicapped person usually don't travel around too much usually they need a cane or a wheelchair or a walker or some other reason and they can't get too far away from their campsite without help from their friends that's why they're supposed to be near the my campsite my campsite is about three to four plus a parking lot before I even get to the bathroom fat people been pretty nice and I'll see you in a couple of deers and I went to go throw my trash away and met the biggest raccoon I have ever seen the swimming area is okay but need to be a lot bigger cuz it is not enough tables not enough Beach for that matter and has plenty of room to make it anymore awnings and more tables with...
