This park is a very beautiful park. It's also a nature reserve at the same time. There are many lakes in this park, both large and small. What makes this park special is that it has different pathways. There are horse trails specifically designed for equestrians. There are bike lanes specifically prepared for cyclists. Some lakes are suitable for fishing. Some lakes are suitable for boating. This park offers camping services from late April to October every year. "If you want to learn camping and have never camped before, this park is your best choice for your first camping experience. Because this park has very complete interpretation facilities and it is very close to the city. Especially since this park is a four-season park. You can also play here in winter. It has ski trails specifically prepared for winter skiing. There are ski slopes for skiing as well. In short, this park is a very, very good park, especially because it has a lot of birds in it. There are over a hundred ospreys here. This bird had become extinct here over a hundred years ago, but now, through artificial breeding programs, it has made a comeback in the area. You can often see three or four ospreys circling in the sky. During the months of April to May each year, you can also see the ospreys feeding their chicks. They live at the tops of tall trees, some of which have grass prepared for them by humans. You can capture clear images of them with a long-range camera. There's another large group here as well, which is the black-billed swans. You can see them leisurely swimming in pairs on the lake. There are countless other birds here. They have wonderful singing voices and beautiful feathers. By the way, there's also a great archery range here. You can experience the fun of archery here with your children and family. There's a great museum here as well It displays specimens of various animals inside. The hiking trails here are fantastic. It lets you relax and enjoy the fresh air of nature. This park is a very beautiful park.I...
Read moreI am a Hennepin County resident and consistently use Carver Park. The gravel roads at Carver Park are in need of major repair. For example, Grimm Road is so full of ruts that either one drives through the ruts which exposes your vehicle to bottoming out because the ruts are soooo deep, or you use the shoulder of the road (which risks you slipping into the ditch). Since there are many people from St. Boni, Chanhassen, Victoria, Eden Prairie, etc. who use the park, please consider supporting Carver Park with Hennepin County taxpayer funds needed to maintain and improve the roads. This is the best park in the western metro and I know that Hennepin County residents use this park (I know a fair number of them) and as evidenced by the many buses of students from the neighboring towns that visit the park. If one took a survey, I am confident that it would reveal that Hennepin County residents use this park more than Carver County residents.
The only reason I gave this a 1-star rating is because of the roads; the park itself is a...
Read moreOne of our favorite parks to vist. It has become busier here than it was years ago, but there is a lot of room to roam. For you introverts, you'll be okay here if you hit the trails! There are miles of trails to hike, ski, or snowshoe in the winter. Awesome dirt and paved paths. In the summer, biking or rollerblading, and trail riding here is hard to beat. Great wildlife to observe (including humans). The trees, rolling hills, streams, and lakes are one of the best MN experiences. When the playground is open, it is an excellent experience for kids! Take a look at the beaver lodge. They also have a natural playground full of logs, sticks and imagination inspiring/ hands on nature play! Really pulls nature into play beautifully. The Nature Center is sweet and has great programs. You'll want to check out the tamarack trees in the bog! Dogs are welcome on the paved trails... PS, the kick sleds and sledding...
