My friend and I biked to the campground from Minneapolis to use the new bikers' campsite. The trail connection is a great way to get here, and the biking campsite was great. Water and restrooms are right next to the bike site (water fountains only; a spigot would have been very nice). Room for several more people and good amenities at the site. Firewood is sold but not secured, so make sure you have a good way to get it back to your site. Great way to get out of the city for a...
Read moreCampground is well kept - grass cut short, gravel graded, pit toilets kept stocked with toilet paper & hand sanitizer. Sites are spaced out and relatively flat. Recycling and composting is encouraged, with large containers available for you to do so. Downsides - located off a busy highway, resulting in lots of road noise invading the “peaceful” setting. Also, on site office is only open Thursday through Sunday, which means, if you stay during the week, some of the services aren’t readily available (ex. kayaks and canoes can only be rented on the weekends). Dogs not allowed...

The bathrooms were only a few feet away as well. The bike sites are non-reservable so you just show up, pay the fee and...
