Today was my second time coming to this park. I really like it because of all of the grass. I did meet some really nice people and some friendly dogs. Unfortunately, my dog got bit today from a man who had three German shepherds and a husky. I took her to the vet and the puncture wounds were deep. It cost me almost $1000 at VCA in Lakewood. We usually go to the Whittier dog park, and all of the dogs and owners stay very close to each other and I have never seen an aggressive dog there. My dog is only one year old. We will not be returning to this park.

My dog Freddy loves this park! He runs and plays with the other dogs. It gets kind of chilly there so you might want to bring a sweater or blanket. You definitely want to bring a chair to sit on or a blanket because there's not very many places to sit. There's a big dog park right next to the little dog park separated by a chain link fence. All the dogs have a great time. They provide water from water fountain for all the dogs to share. I recommend you check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Big area for your dog to run and get the exercise they need. Everyone there is very friendly. If you forget your dogs water there is a fountain there for them and people share there water. They have clean up stations around with bags if you dont have any. Sometimes dogs do get a little aggressive but Everyone watches there dogs so it gets stopped right away. Great way to meet new people. If you dont have dogs but want to play with some stop by plenty of dogs to play with.

I have two small dogs so we went to the small dog park. It is nice and clean with poop scoopers and baggies all over the park. It is pretty big too which is nice for the little dogs that like to run around. There is plenty of shade and a nice breeze always seems to be blowing through there. There is nice grass patches along with some sandy areas. There are a couple of benches to sit on, but I bring a camping chair or I just stand when my dogs are playing. The owners that I have encountered are nice and friendly and pick up after their dogs. And if we get to chatting, someone else will gently come and let us know our dogs went potty. Occasionally I see a stray poop here and there, but I just use a scooper to pick it up. It happens especially when you have multiple dogs running around having fun! It is only open from Dawn till Dusk and on Monday they open it at 10am because they maintence crew cutting grass, cleaning concrete, taking out trash and restocking doggies bags. They have a nice drinking fountain for the dogs too. Sometimes you can find tennis balls and stuff laying around, but I mostly just bring my own....

Great park and a great community of pet owners that gather here! Every once in a while you'll spot a new dog/owner that is a little hesitant or not socially comfortable, but all in all, great place to bring your dog.

Really appreciate that in the fall/winter, even though it gets dark at 4:30pm you can still bring your dog after work and have a group of dogs still playing around. This helps our pup still get the exercise and social time he needs. The large dog play area is lit with 2 lamps, but the small dog play area is pretty dark, so bring a flashlight.

It gets pretty full sometimes, so if you are hoping to sit, it might be best to carry a camping chair in your car just in case there are no open benches.

I'd say that 95% of pet parents pick up after their dog, so it is rare that you step on poop, but hey it...

Best dog park in the area, and I've visited all of them. The small dog section is great with plenty of room for the dogs to run around. The grass is well maintained and they have a nice drinking fountain, poo bags and trash bins around. The people and dogs here are usually well behaved, although there are some owners that are inconsiderate and let their dogs dig holes around the park, thus destroying the park and making it more unsafe for dogs to run around. They're the exception though.

The big dog section is much bigger but it also lacks more grass. There is a large section in the middle of the park where most of the owners hang out and that's made out of sand/dirt. Dogs seem to have a great time here though.

Highly...
