I had a great time just exploring this stunning area. Vedauwoo is a group of spectacular granite rock formations rising out of the thin soils on Pole Mountain. It’s a beautiful recreation area with many trails for hiking and mountain biking as well as camping and picnicking areas. It’s a very popular rock climbing area. "Vedauwoo" is an Arapaho word meaning "earth-born".

Beautiful scenery and not too difficult of a trail. A good place to take your dog, too, but there are many rocks that have "hidey holes" under them that you should keep your dog from sniffing.
