Kelley Cawley — Attraction in LaSalle

I was really looking forward to visiting this store since I had to pass on my last visit to LaSalle. Unfortunately, right away the three of us were made uncomfortable. My friend picked up a sweater to look at it and then refolded it. The sales person then went right over and picked up the sweater and refolded in front of my friend. We were made to feel very uncomfortable as the salesperson was almost hovering. I have worked in retail many years and got the feeling that she was concerned about one of us stealing. I've used her tactics in the past and it worked with us because we left without spending too much time looking or making a purchase. Definitely not a warm and friendly environment. It's too bad because I really wanted to look at one of the sweaters folded on the table but the salesperson made me feel like the store was a no-touch, no-look, get out of here kind of place. Let me start by saying the clothes and store are beautiful, 10/10.... however the store associate was so rude to me! I was in the store for about 30 minutes and tried on a few things. When I was being rung up ($100) I made small talk and I complimented the associates top. Her responses were cold and unfriendly. 10 minutes after I left, I noticed she accidentally over charged me- nbd it happens, so I went back for a price adjustment. I told the associate I was in no rush, but could she please refund me when she had a minute. We went to the register and as she worked on the return a customer in the fitting room was calling for her. I have shopped at Kelley Cawley’s for years, and I have never once had a bad experience! It is my favorite store to go to for all the essentials and latest trends. With so many convenient ways to shop - in store, online, through Facebook/social media, I am always able to have the time to get the perfect outfit I need! The sales associates are one of the reasons I always go back to this store - they are truly the best!
