The observatory was amazing! Driving up Mt. Scott, there are multiple pull off areas to stop and take pictures, but once you get to the top, it is absolutely breathtaking! You can climb around on the rocks and there are a few hidden gems of rocks to climb up onto and get some amazing views. I have a personal favorite (but I won't reveal the location). Unfortunately this area could use some cleaning up, as there is quite a bit of trash lying around and crammed into rocks. There are lots of signs that say there are no alcoholic beverages but I saw at least 20 crushed beer cans. Other than the trash, the experience was amazing. It was misty the day that I went and if you're a bearded individual such as myself, expect to have a very dew drenched mane. It was kind of amusing, personally. I will definitely be coming back on the weekends to wind down and read in my spot. The Mt. Scott observatory is a "must-go" when in the...
Read moreThis was an absolutely beautiful place to visit! We opted to park at the top and explore the top a bit. We followed several of the easy to find trails all the way around the mountain. There was some boulder climbing for sure! I REALLY wish people would take their trash with them, there was so many diapers, bottles, and just trash up there. We seen some dogs walking on leashes, but I feel like smaller dogs would struggle and possibly need to be carried in several spots. We had 8 with us ranging in ages 13-60 and we were all able to get around where we wanted. Some even had arthritis and problems with knees and such. It was super windy, and the temp was about 10 degrees cooler once we got up to the top, so dressing in layers would be a great idea. The visitor center was closed when we got there. We seen bison and longhorn as we were driving up. We can't wait to go back when we can hike a...

What an absolutely beautiful place to see! Growing up to think of Oklahoma you think flat and boring, this proves that to be wrong. It was pretty crowded in the weekend and you always have that person that wants to play their music loud enough that the next town over can hear, but even they couldn't ruin the view.
Every way you turned their was another beautiful site. Water, windmills, mountains and beautiful land. I could have spent hours there just taking pictures of nature, including flowers and birds. If you have never been, it is a must see. I can't...
