Hometown Heroes Park — Attraction in League City

Hometown Heroes Park is a huge complex that is a great facility for young and old! My son plays recreational sports there and his games are held there for League City. The inside is magnificent and superbly clean! Especially the restrooms, which is a huge plus with kids. Everyone there is super helpful and polite. The only complaint I can muster up is the size of the b-ball courts and bleachers to sit on. I don't think they were thinking about the visitors to the games and the parents, friends and family members of the players that would be there to watch their kids play and compete. There is not very much room at all to sit down and watch the b-ball games, let alone even stand on the sidelines. It can become a bit cramped, especially with all the parents with strollers, very small toddlers, babies and bags. That is my only complaint. Other than that it is a great facility and we love...

Not a fan of the lay out of this building!!! You can not leave the way you came when entering the pool area. When I went to get something from my car I was instructed to exit out the opposite side of the building from where I parked so I had to walk all the way around carrying my 1 year old and heavy bag. Visiting from Idaho, it is sssoooo hot! I brought my nephew and was told the splash pad would be open and brought my kid to play during his swim lesson and the splash pad was closed. So when I got back from giving him his treat I went to get the first time, I had to walk around AGAIN so I could let my kid play inside to keep her from running in the water or screaming. HORRIBLE design of dog park: 1. way too far from parking for kids or disabled to get to front gates. 2. NO MATURE TREES OR TEMPORARY SHADE, 3. Far from/no bathrooms!! Water fountains for DOGS ONLY (What about us humans?) Ofc also: No pond like Sugarland's. ...F-minus compared to every Brazoria/Galv municipality... WASTE OF TAX DOLLARS (I was the only 1 there, and never coming back, I'll drive all the way to Friendswood's half-decent one before WALKING NO SHADE to this P.O.S. again. ...A park NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would consider using (i was the only one there & needed 20 minutes to even FIND it)... ...your TAX DOLLARS at work!
