You want a high quality play but you live in a small town, that can be hard to find. You hear about a theatre onna mountain side. Could be interesting you say. You drive up a bit of a winding road. You park in a seemingly normal parking lot. You start hiking up a gravel path, 5-15 minutes depending on who you are. You get up there, the chairs are folding chairs. Alright what have we got ourselves in here. You sit and close your eyes, reframe your mind by breathing in, you smell the pines surrounding you, the play starts in the mean time, the forest and the view of the opposing mountains bring a sense of peace, then the singing hits your ears, the play unfolds, you forget about any drawback and take in the wonderfulness of everything as a whole. Read moreIt's a great outdoor theater. They offer you a very thick cushion for your chair for $1.00. Don't turn it down, it's a bargain. We watched The Sound of Music. It was wonderful. It rained on us for a short time. We still had a lovely time and enjoyed the play very much. There is a shuttle to take you up to the theater from the parking lot if you are elderly or disabled.
