Just got back from kayaking on the lake. The boat ramp was the best we have seen with gradual slope into the water. It has walkways on north and east side - including dam access. Lots of lillipads on shoreline. They were in bloom. My only negative was hearing constant gun fire from the shooting range to the north.

Nice walking path. Nice playgrounds a few to explore. With different obstacles. Our granddaughter played on all three. She loved the different options. The long trail took us through other playgrounds. Plus the path ended for us at the turtle sanctuary. They have canoes to rent. Or bring your own options. Restroom were nicely equipped and a water fountains are available. Nice walk path is pet friendly bring your own poop bags. No area to just enjoy wetting your feet at. But we enjoyed our walk through. Shaded picnic areas / bar b que areas to reserve for get togethers. Sounded like a nearby shooting range. Just prep the children for those...
