Cool place, over 200 years old. Definitely a very small, but interesting part of Pennsylvania history. Stopped there on the way home from a long trip to stretch out, thought it was going to be just a parking lot. When I started walking I quickly realized I was walking where many people have crossed a long time ago. A major thru-way from Harrisburgh to Pittsburgh. Have to wonder, how many famous people from then crossed it. Presidents, war heroes, local heroes. Its small. Remember that. Don't plan the day there. Plan a Sunday evening there with your family, searching for clues of times passed. Maybe try your luck at fishing the creek under it, where many have tried and failed. Or tried and succeeded in bringing home supper 200 years ago.

The Stone Arch Bridge is a cherished piece of local history that offers serenity in a tranquil setting to those who seek it. The aqua blue/green tint to the creek below serves as a beautiful compliment to the priceless this piece of Mifflin County retired infrastructure. Even in 2023, The Stone Arch Bridge remains a hidden treasury that I recommend anyone in the world to see.

A beautifully crafted stone bridge which served as part of the original construction of the Pittsburg turnpike. A beautiful piece of land with a few benches to sit and take in the view. There was no one here when I stopped probably due to there is not much to do. I did appreciate the stop if passing through worth the stop.
