Central Park is simple but backwoodsy area for people to get away from city life. There is some construction going on now, but there are plenty of trails to walk around in and see trees in all stages of their lives. The area is small enough for everyone to walk through - if you stay on the concrete. There are some dirt paths that let you see areas that the local kids have been playing in since the 1950s. There is a lot of poison ivy so you have to be careful if you are sensitive. If you are adventurous, you can find a wooden fort that the kids groom the fifties built. Read moreNothing too crazy out of the ordinary both on the positive and negative side. Park has picnic tables, play area for kids and descent enough parking spots. It gets busy in summer which is normal. It also has a biking/walking trail and you can see the river along the trail which is very beautiful.
The only thing I hate is people who walk with their dogs and fail to pick up after their dogs piss in the middle of the trail. That's just disgusting and if you're not constantly looking on the ground, you might step on it. I wish there was a way to enforce on people to pick up after their dogs. It's just common sense, I don't understand why have a dog when you can't pick...

Them the ice cream truck was in the parking lot to cool us off with a nice treat at the end of our journey. My entire family enjoyed our time there and plan on making it a ever Sunday adventure for a while. I highly recommend Arbor Hills. It has something for everyone - bike trails, hiking trails, and concrete trails. A playground for the little ones, great pavilions for gatherings, and disability compliant. What I like best is the variation of land in the different sections....
