My friends and I took my husband to 4 distilleries for his birthday. The was the one we booked last minute the night before so we could stop by on our way out of town. I was excited to find someone offering a tasting at 10:30 so we could still leave town fairly early. This distillery ended up with the consensus of the best whiskey we tried in town. They loved the Midland finished in the rum barrels. We ended up walking out with a few bottles, lol. The tasting guide was great — we had a few people join us last minute, and it was interesting to hear their thoughts on the different vintages. This is a must stop in for the bourbon or whiskey lover. The best part about the distillery? They have the cutest little working kitty there, Tipsy. She will come up for loving and show off her biscuit making skills.

Hands down the best craft distillery in Kentucky! Everyone is super down to earth and friendly. Their bourbon and whiskey flavor is very unique and amazing range of tastes on the palette. I visited them 7 years prior when all they were selling was the Blue Dog blue corn whiskey. The flavor has been memorable all these years. The blue corn is very unique. I am happy to see them producing all new bourbons and ryes now and excited to see them again when they move to bigger farm. Definitely go here if you are doing the bourbon trial, the taste of their bourbon will be unforgettable Also their cat Tipsy rocks and will lay with you while you have your tasting!

We came to Kentucky for a surprise bday weekend for my boyfriend and wanted to surprise him with a unique distillery experience. So I searched all of Lexington Bourbon Distillerys and I decided on this one and we were not disappointed. Its on a quiet street with a few other restaurants. Inside is cute and quaint. Our tour guide was a older man and he was wonderful and very knowledgeable about everything! The tastings were quite small which was the only draw back but you got the Idea posted a picture for reference. It was fun and we learned some cool new stuff! If you have a Whiskey drinker or are one yourself I'd definitely check it out!

My wife and I stopped here to check them out because they use blue corn. Although their regular high rye bourbon is wonderful, the blue corn was amazing, and unlike anything we've ever had before. We got to talk to the owner who was super friendly and explained everything about what they do, why they chose blue corn, and, why they use wheat. Cozy vibe inside with awesome folks behind the bar? Cannot recommend enough! Also, you needn't feel left out if you enjoy rye whiskey. We tried their Midway rye whiskey finished in rum barrels and it was better than Angel's Envy rye!

We went to the new tasting room for Bluegrass Distillery today. It’s in Midway, KY in a fully resorted mansion built in 1835. An amazing experience in such a spectacular setting. The tasting experience was perfection with our tour guide Sean. He was extremely knowledgeable of not only their spirits but also the home and surroundings. We’ve been to many distilleries on the bourbon trail. Bluegrass ranks at the top of our favorites. The personal experience, the atmosphere, the friendliness of everyone that worked there, surpasses all This is a do not miss! A+
