Keeneland - Turf Track - 7½ furlong — Attraction in Lexington

Super experience. Be sure to visit the Betologists! Great tips and no question is too simple. Fun people watching...from those dressed up and others, like us,, in jeans. All are welcomed and accepted. Race watching allows for up close preview of jockeys and horses with ample time to get a bet in after that. Watch from the rail on the track or pay $15 for reserved grandstand or more for options with dinner, etc. We paid for grandstand but only watched 2 races from our seats. Food was good, we got to track about 1.5 hours before first race and got a nice lunch at reasonable prices. Drinks are very good too! Obviously bourbon cocktails but good bloody marys and champagne. We were in town for a couple of days and a local mentioned they were having some races. We got tickets and went to check it out. Parking was free which is always a plus. It was alot of fun to see the horses up close and be that close to the track. The kids really liked it. My wife and I visited for the opening weekend of the Fall 2022 Session and had a blast. Neither of us had been to a racetrack before and didn’t quite know what to expect.
