DO NOT play here during the week...or at least while school is in. As I teed up on the 9th box, 100 school children appeared about 150 yards in front of us. They were on a field trip...what? No golf course lets pedestrians walk or jog on the course because it's inherently dangerous. But you'll march 100 school kids into the fairway...? The superintendent was with the group and walked...I mean slowly...toward us and started raving about going around the kids. I asked how long it would take and he yelled, "Hey, if you don't like it, go get your money back!!!" I'm not sure these guys understand that golf is still a service industry and theirs was the WORST today. No notice when we checked in ("Hey, you may run into a 100 school kids while you're out there.") and only guff from the super. Wow. As for the course, the fairways were in good shape, the rough is like the U.S. Open, and the greens were incredibly lumpy with about three different kinds of poa competing for space. This is not that great a track to treat people this way. If you want to bring a couple of bus loads of kids onto the course, close the course but don't yell at the patrons when they ask what in the world...
Read moreI’m a two times a week golfer and been playing for years. I’ve never seen what they did yesterday. This golf course forced me to ride in a cart with someone I haven’t met before. I’ve never even seen another course ask me if I minded to have a random person In my cart, let alone demand it . I explained how stupid this was to them and the owner said “it’s on our web site”. The fact it’s on the web site should be the first red flags. There was plenty of carts and it was in March, so it wasn’t even busy. Then, After you get on the course they just have rangers follow you everywhere. They we sitting in the woods watching people like police officers. After spending $28 on 6 bud lights, I will never ever ever go back to this course again and I will tell all my golf friends not to go back. If I could give 0 starts I would. And it’s sad, cause I like like course and I’ve been going there for a very long time. But I’ll spend my...
Read moreI think this place is horrible mainly because how it was funded..The extremely high prices and expensive parking at the zoo paid for most of this place..I thought donating money after a purchase of food or drink at the zoo went to conservation but I was wrong..Some money goes I'm sure, but the surge of prices a few years ago for anything zoo related from tickets and parking to a bottle of water and a hot dog paid for a portion of this golf course and the renovations they made there..I can't believe nobody talks about the fact that families paying for tickets and parking to see animals ended up funding a golf course for the richer people to enjoy..I stopped going to the zoo when they allowed people to drink but not smoke lol..I hate anything Columbus zoo related, corrupt and unnecessary pricing for families..Have...
