My oldest son is 9 and he has Asperger's. He has had a hyperfixation on trains since he was 2 years old. When it comes to trains, we've done it, seen it, learned all about it. When he found out about this place, he insisted we had to check it out. It was really cool! There was a lot to learn about, along with a movie to watch. I believe the woman who gave us a tour was named Carol. She was wonderful with my son (who has a hard time with social interactions) and made the entire visit so enjoyable. We were given a personal tour of the artifacts, shown two 10 minute videos, one about the LVRR and one about the Wilpen coke works, and we were given a personal tour of the caboose. In order to understand the different railroads and the antiques found in the museum you need to talk to a volunteer. There you will get most of your information.
