This is one of my old stomping grounds. Love this beach and park! It's all about nature. The trails are overgrown, but the walk along the dirt road to the beach is nice for those who enjoy easy hikes. I don't recommend this beach for swimming. It's very Rocky, and there has always been a strong undertow at this location. If you decide to chance it, wear a life vest. Don't let your doggos swim here, even if it appears calm. Same for kids. The rip current is too dangerous...
Read moreThis is the first beach we visited during our stay. Be aware that there is about a mile walk from the parking lot to the beach. But that walk is scenic and we even saw several deer while walking! Also be aware that the beach has many rocks at the water's edge. It's fantastic for rock hounds/collectors!
