Three waterfalls along a rocky ravine with clear cool waters!
The biggest of these waterfalls is one of the larger ones in New Hampshire. There are 3 crossings, I have done this during all 4 seasons and have not found them impassible at any point, or overly difficult if you are ok getting wet. Above the river the trail follows several switchbacks through a pine forest. In the winter it is the more wind sheltered route and the snow depth is higher. Read moreIf you are planning on doing the Ridge Loop then I highly recommend ascending on Old Bridle Trail and descending on the Falling Water Trail. The Falling Water Trail is much steeper and a little tough to descend on so I can only imagine how strenuous it is to climb this up.

Read moreLoved the trail. Slippery and strenuous but worth the visit. We visited from Massachusetts, it took us about 2 and half hours to get to the trail. We loved every bit of the day out. The guides are very helpful and kind. Did a mile and back. 2 miles total cause I couldn't keep up the steep. My heart was pounding fast. It's a shame I couldn't get higher to see the great waterfalls....
