Read moreThis was an ok way to spend a couple of hours if you're just looking for a sightseeing stop. The ticket system is over-engineered, designed for skiing users who will repeatedly use the gondola. We went in October just to get a high view of the surrounding area. The gondola was fun and fast, and the viewing tower was useful. The glacier caves would be fun for kids. The café at the top was expensive and the food wasn't great, but to be fair they were super busy. That doesn't excuse the cup of hot water and sachet of powder mix to make your own hot chocolate though. They should have told us the machine was out of order before...
Read moreWe took the gondola to the Summit on Sunday morning for Loon Mtn Ministry's church service. The "Church ticket" is half price, but only available from 10-11am on Sunday morning and only grants you one trip up the gondola as opposed to the all day access the regular ticket is good for.
