They are open from 12-4pm on Saturdays so we timed it right when we stopped to visit. This is not the original courthouse but it is still interesting to see. The lady working was very informative about the courthouse which was interesting to learn new details about the history of Illinois. They sell postcards and magnets in the museum. There is a suggested price of $2 to view the museum which is very reasonable. The well is right across the street from the courthouse that Lincoln drank water from.
