Logan County Fair — Local services in Lincoln

Hubs and I went to watch the Demos.... weren't ever expecting to witness what we did🤦‍♀️ The first 2 minutes of each heat were enjoyable... like any other derby... after the first few minutes it became boring and almost pointless and unbearable to even watch. The heats took forrreeevvvveeeerrrr it seemed like to end. Smallest area we have ever seen demos take place. There were about 30 vehicles all packed into an area that looked like the size of about 4 pool tables placed one in front of the other ==== Things became cluttered real fast and nobody could move anywhere. More time was spent watching the dead vehicles being removed from the area, which you could hardly see unless you were 7ft tall... the stands were mostly all one level... the people sitting in chairs in front of the bleachers were constantly being yelled at to sit down by the older lady who was collecting your $10 ticket at the entrance. We relocated ourselves after the 6th or 7th time that lady yelled at those people standing up. We ended up sitting all the way up on the top bleacher outside of covered section. Sorry... but my first time here was not filled with excitement and good memories that I would've shared with family and friends. Think I'll stick to the one and only... Champaign County Fair next year. (Make the track bigger... I might...

The rodeo was super disappointing for my family. They oversold the tickets and there was nowhere to sit. Standing room only area was way off to the side where you couldn’t see the event. Left within 5 minutes of starting and requested a refund which was declined. Rides were fun for the kids but don’t stay too late, otherwise you get to listen to a bunch of trashy teenagers yelling curse words at each other because they think it makes them look cool. I thought a small town fair might be a little more family friendly than the State Fair to take my kids but...

The grounds are very nicely maintained for the fair. This was our second year going, and it was just as nice as the first year. Good selection of food vendors, the people working the rides were friendly and not "creepy", as can sometimes occur with fairs. The parking can be a little tricky if you're not faniliar with the roads in this area. Overall, a very nice...
