Still can't get over the fact that the church I grew up in (from the age of 4 to the age of 18... At a minimum 4 days a week every week)... The church I watched pray over members of the congregation being deployed during OEF/OIF... The church that prayed over me after I enlisted and went active duty...

1. I haven't been there in years. As if I'm allowed to just leave my duty stations to go to Sunday service and Bible study. Meanwhile every single time I took leave... Which only offers 2.5 days per month..., flew hundreds of miles, and went home, I made sure to pop in there under the illusion that that's where my family was.

2. Because my tithes to them specifically weren't up to date. I didn't realize they'd converted to a pay to pray system but I'm fully aware of what's up now.

I was aware that some changes had been made in my absence. I wasn't aware that capitalist motivations were one of those changes...

And to say "Go ask your own pastor"... As if for the past 8 years since I left I hadn't been tuning in online specifically to see Bishop Evans quite literally RELIGIOUSLY...

Tough to review a church but here we go. Praise and worship 100/100, church sermon on Sunday...50-60/100. Bible study 100/100. My children love the children's church program. They feed the kids well giving them chicken tenders, hot dogs, etc. When I was a kid we were lucky to get cookies and milk lol. Seriously, the church is well managed and has a ton of programs for everyone. I personally found that bible study/new member's class, etc is where you are really taught the fundamentals of the faith. Imho, I think the pastor caters to the old school crowd with the hooting at the end of each message on Sunday which I don't necessarily mind, I mostly just ignore it because when he is in teaching mode!!!! Let me tell you...The man can teach the Word of the Living God💯 Overall the church is a gem 💎 and I would recommend it. I believe millenials would appreciate the bible...

My mother was here every chance she got when I was younger. Women's retreats choir rehearsal Bible study. I can go on for days about the summer camp at the old church. Minister walker, the music kids for Christ and sister lolly. I haven't been here In years because we moved to NC. My mother passed two years ago and we got flowers from the church. Then the next day Bishop spoke on grievance. It wasn't a coincidence that was the Lord pulling me back. And honestly I'm going to start here online. I want to change and I want to live right. I know Bishop will guide me right cause when I was 6 I told my mom I wanted to be just like him. Thanks for that word Bishop I needed that. Sincerely An old...
