There is a fenced dog park at the north-west corner of the park. It has separate fields for large and small dogs (under 20 pounds). Of course, small dogs can go into the large dog (or all dog) section as well. This is a newer park and it has some good features, such as the grass has not yet died off, although it is starting to in the small dog area. There is a water fountain for the dogs. The downside is that the small dog park has several holes in the ground where you could twist an ankle if you aren't watching and there are a lot of very prickly thistle-type weeds scattered around the yard which bother my little dogs. There is a picnic table just outside the fenced area (it would be nicer inside the fence). The current placement of the picnic table is right next to the only trash bin for the dog park (which is chained to the fence and so can't be moved) so it is unpleasant to sit at the table due to the smell from the garbage. The park is busiest in the early morning or at dusk but I have often been the only one there when I have visited. I have posted a short video, you can hear the wind; it is often quite windy as it is on the western...
Read moreWonderful park! Good playground for both older and little kids. Has restrooms! The best sandbox with water for fun play. Highly recommend sunhats and sunscreen - a lot of shade, but that’s great for water play. Additionally, a gorgeous view from up on the hill, plus a long trail on top with amazing views and beautiful wildflowers. There are lots of place to play hide and seek, not something at every park. Since it’s up on the hill, it’s very windy, so we avoid it on those days. But if it’s a hot day, the wind makes it cooler.
And there’s more - a sports park for every sport (basketball, soccer, baseball.) Lots of grassy area for running around, a dog park on the other side of the field, and also, since it’s big, there are many paved...
Read moreHuge, modern park with lots of grass activity fields for running, kickball, free play, as well as a basketball court, large baseball/soccer field with stands for spectators. Older & younger kids' playgrounds. Sand pit. Bathrooms are clean & have running water and soap. Sometimes hard to find parking spots. Benches by playground areas, picnic tables, nicely landscaped. Tends to be quite busy, only 2 swings for babies/toddlers and 2 for older kids, so that can be hard for kids to wait their turn. Didn't see many dogs near playground, but those were on leash, which is required in that area. Dog park on the other side...
