Absolutely gorgeous vista, and very secluded from the main public (and very busy) beach. When we came there was not another soul there, we had the whole place to ourself. The ancient coral reef is a stark landscape feature and the cove provides some sun relief so long as it's low tide. There is a natural vine that grows along the grass on the shore which has edible leaves but I'd recommend having a guide before you go around tasting random plants. The sand is not great for lounging, it is not packed so even just walking along it can be a bit challenging as you'll sink into it. Our guide said it was a popular fishing spot but we did...

It is absolutely an intriguing short walk and a very cool section of undercut volcanic cliffs, with waves crashing. The trail is hard to find, but it is ~8 parking spaces in from the road in the east end of the parking lot. There are some concrete blocks to the right of the trailhead. I hope these photos save you...
