Went to France park for the first time. I was really happy to see such an awesome assortment of features that the park has to offer: camping, fishing, a beach, a little hiking and a great place to make memories.
It also helped that the staff who greeted me and my wife were super friendly.
The waterfall is splendid! For being in an area of the state that feels otherwise flat, it us really a breath of fresh air to see this natural formation. The calming sounds kept my wife and I close by for over half an hour. Just be very careful around the falls as algea does grow on the rocks and makes them slippery.

Some improvements could be made though. Trails themselves were maintained fairly well, though markings weren’t too clear. The map provided is inverted with North facing down which wasn’t too bad, but it seemed as though not all trails were shown.
Either more staff is needed or remain more aware as we ended up accidentally bypassing a $5 entry fee the first time. Thankfully we were able to get this corrected which we appreciate. It just needs more guidance.
