California Horse Center on Flag Is Up Farms — Attraction in Lompoc

Fifteen years ago we visited "Flag is up- farms" twice while on our trip through California and were lucky to meet Monty personally. He was very kind and gentle, even giving us some batteries for our camera. I had read all his books, had seen him in Berlin and was deeply impressed by watching him work with two horses. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! My 2yr old daughter is obsessed with horses and I was super excited I found this beautiful spot where visitors are welcomed to check out the farm, it made both my daughter and I SO SO happy & grateful to be and look at all the horses there! I had visited earlier today around 4ish, it’s now 10pm and I’m still thinking about how gorgeous it was, very well kept, and it’s amazing scenery! To own a location like this and let people like myself, who doesn’t own a horse and or farm (but would love to) get to experience this, is a dream!! The Whispering Rose Ranch, also on the property, is one of the most stunning wedding venues I’ve seen world-over.
