I have never experienced such level of racism and unprofessionalism in my life. I was planning a birthday party for my spouse and went there during the weekend and a staff showed me around but told me the team was not on site. I left voice messages and filled the form. I called in the morning and spoke with the person in charge at 8am, she said the room was available but I had to pay to hold the place. When I asked how much she said I had to wait to get the email which she was going to send immediately. I waited no email, I called again ah 9am she said she was about to call back that she’s busy and I should expect the email at 12noon and she quite rude cutting me off when I asked questions and kept insisting to wait for the email. At 12 noon she told me to wait for the email. I sensed at that point she didn’t want to go on with the reservation. I told her I will pay whatever it cost fully. She then agree to send me the cost information to book for the date she claimed it was available. I waited and called her by 1pm to ask what was going on and she said she was waiting for confirmation if I could use the place at a 3 weeks notice. At that point I told her, I know you do not want me to use this place, you have been very rude to me on the phone. I agreed to your terms and fees and you still refused to provide the information to book a date you said was available and you have being very rude, pronouncing my name wrongly and acted like you cannot understand my accent. She apologized that she was in training and was waiting for approval but I told her if you want to do a good job treat people equally and remove any bias you may have towards any race when you get to your job. She said her name was Erin and it was a social event. I will never step my feet there again and if you’re...
Read moreI'm so sad to even be writing this but this was the most disappointing experience I've ever had with a restaurant. My husband planned our anniversary dinner here as I've always wanted to go. When we arrived the staff was so nice, the table had a rose and we were immediately given our menus.. This is where it went downhill fast... The timing of everything was so off, it took forever to get our drinks (we got the app and finished it before the drinks), it seemed as though they were having trouble handling the wedding and the restaurant which makes sense but this isn't even the worst part... The food I ordered was atrocious, not only was it a sloppy mess it wasn't even cooked. I honestly think they prepped the chicken the night before, plated it then forgot to put it in the oven. It was cold, not even warm, just straight up refrigerated. And the 2 small "roasted" lemon potatoes were raw. For the first time in my life I actually sent food back. The waitress was so sweet and understanding but I felt so uncomfortable, especially when the food came back barely warmed up. I wish I took a photo because I feel as though you would be embarrassed to see what was being served. We also were told that we weren't the only ones who had to send food back that night (apparently the cod dish was an issue for other patrons), I was mortified and our night was ruined. It then took forever to get the check so we were stuck.. I wanted to cry. I gave it a few days then decided to write this review as I'm still bothered and feel as though a business should know about experiences like this to prevent issues like this...
Read moreBooked the “ romantic experience “ for a very special occasion. That proved to be perfunctory.
Out table was talking distance to the bar with a dark green or black tablecloth. The first half hour I had to play peek a boo with the setting sun since the drawn shades did not help.
Our waitress recommended chicken because of its “great sauce”. It came to us cold. The small potatoes needed a saw to cut they was so under cooked. Meal was taken back and reheated but the chicken returned like it had been on a journey of its own; bone dry with not a drop of sauce to be found. Our other meal was a porterhouse steak that was also cold and rare though I requested medium rare. Came back reheated but very poor quality. (Are they ever any good when they have to be reheated?) We had them take meals away without eating.
The evening ended and they did remove the expense of these 2 entrees. By the way, it was our 50th wedding anniversary but they were pretty unimpressed even though our daughter called ahead (without our knowing) to be sure some amount of polite attention was extended. Guess they have people celebrating golden jubilee wedding anniversaries all the time.
In any event, not the place to go to for any special purpose unless you’re looking for a burger cause the kid next to us looked to have a great burger. Of course McDonald’s would have looked good at this point since we left hungry.
Probably ok for lunch and wine tasting or when shorts and togs are the dress of the evening. I really was looking for an elegant evening to celebrate a pretty momentous occasion. This was not that and I'm...
