This establishment is severely unequipped for the amount of tickets they sell/ the amount of people they allow to come in at once. They are unable to accommodate the large crowds. There are very few porta potties, they are very far apart, they are difficult to find (besides the one at the entrance, of course), and they are not kept in good condition. Everywhere we went, we had to wait in line for 45 to 90 minutes, whether it was for food/drink, Santa/the grinch, or a ride. Although I do not know for sure how many facilities they have, I walked the place front to back and only encountered two places to get food or drink and approximately 6-10 porta potties, and a worker told me they sold 1,800-2,000 tickets that night (12/23/23). The place was packed to the brim with children who need food, drink, and sanitary bathrooms. I also had to wait in line to use a porta potty. This, thankfully, was only about a 15 minute wait, but the child behind me who peed herself while waiting was not so lucky. Also, I know this is an outdoor activity, and I knew that going into this, but if people are going to be waiting in long lines in the freezing weather, there should be more standing heaters than the few I saw at workers stations only. The whole set up was very unorganized. Navigating the place was extremely difficulty, especially at night which is the only time they’re open. Everywhere I walked was muddy and wet. Again, I signed up for an outdoor activity, but I wasn’t expecting the conditions to be so terrible, especially for the children who kept slipping. I saw very few employees, and I could not tell who was an employee and who wasn’t because they too were just trying to bundle up and keep warm while working in these harsh conditions. There were not enough employees there to manage the mass crowds in the parking lot, at the play areas, at the animals, at the rides, etc, and this could be very dangerous for children who will undoubtedly be children and get into something or onto something. The lights were beautiful, but there was no clear definition or instruction or organization as to what was located where or how to get around. Something this big needs more organization. There were not enough resources to accommodate...
Read moreWent there for the 2024 Rodeo and have been there before for Halloween. The rodeo was great thr actual show, the little rides and activities they have for the kids were also pretty good, a couple of them were closed however which kinda sucked and should have been repaired beforehand. My big issue is the FOOD, we LITERALLY waited in line for an HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES at one of the food trucks for “chic fil a type” sandwiches and French fries, when we finally get our food was told they ran out of fries and would I like a “cold wrap” instead, I tell them no thanks I’d just like a refund but neither I or the lady in the truck could hear each other as it was very loud there so I told her sorry I can’t hear you and she rolled her eyes at me an walked away. What?? So another lady came and gave me the refund BUT it was only for 1 French fry when we ordered 5 sandwiches AND THREE fries, after arguing for a minute they finally found the order paper and figured out I was in fact correct!!! The sandwiches were horrible dry frozen chicken patties nothing like chic fil a on old soggy buns, it was at least warm, didn’t get fries and the cans of soda were lukewarm. Literally missed over half the show waiting for food while my family watched without me for some nasty food and missing half the order!! Everything was good but this is America if you screw up the food it just about ruins the whole damned event. They were severely unprepared not to mention there wasn’t NEARLY enough bleacher seating for the number of tickets they sold, we literally had to sit in the dirt next to the gate and I’m sure blocked the people in the first couple of rows in the bleachers. (Sorry) we had literally no other choice it was that or leave, my kids did overall have a lot of fun. Especially getting to ride a pony and horse for $10 for literally 60 seconds. But hey at least they had fun I guess. Probably won’t go again next year however as the prices were way to high, horrible food lines horrible food service horrible food taste and literally half as many seats as needed. Will return for the Halloween time tho...
Read moreEasy to get to and parking was very organized.
We stood in line for the hay ride for an hour, and then someone finally told us that it was bogged down on the route and they were trying to get it out. So we got out of line and walked around.
The ice skating rink is probably 20 feet by 30 feet. There was a line for it, but not too bad. The huge slide had a long line, so we waited until around 9 pm when the line was basically gone (there were really no lines for anything after 8:30 pm or so).
The North Pole's Santa was very nice. There's a short "ride" in a box with video that takes you to the North Pole, and then you go through a room and meet Santa.
The ice cream is over priced and not very good, but the donuts, hot cocoa, candy, and other holiday items were very reasonable. A lot of people were buying food from the food stand. It had a line constantly, but it moved rather quickly. We went back to the hay ride. We stood in for over an hour again. The hay ride trailer had a flat tire as it pulled off with a group of people. They took about 20 minutes to swap out the trailer with another one. Then the lady running the line told us that they were going to use her truck to pull a flat bed trailer and people could sit on it cross-legged. We opted out of that because of obvious reasons.
Definitely an inexpensive Christmas experience. The kids loved it outside of the lines for...
