Panic Attack Haunted Attraction — Local services in Loris

Last night was my 1st time visiting Panic Attack and my son and I were very impressed. Top shelf all the way around. It was about an hour and 15 minutes from Wilmington but it was well worth the drive. Very dark, spooky area once you turn off Hwy. 17 which only added to our anticipation. Panic Attack truly has movie quality sets, props, characters, makeup and animatronics. I thought they did a fantastic job of managing the huge crowds and keeping the pace flowing well.

Highly recommend springing for the Fast Pass tickets if not the VIP as the general admission lines were in the 1-2 hour wait range depending on what time you get there and volume. I will say they had a great DJ and lots of costumed actors keeping the general admission guests entertained in lines which was a wonderful idea. It took us approx. 30-40 minutes to walk through the impressive set pieces and they had a ton of unique features that I’ve not seen anywhere outside of Universal Studios in Orlando (apparently due to a lot of the tv/movie folks from Wilmington, NC productions involved with creating Panic Attack).

Tons of great costumed actors and jump scares. Very intricate designs and set pieces with many different themes. Animatronics were top notch as well. Can’t really adequately describe just how impressive Panic Attack was and I will definitely be returning again next year as Halloween is my absolute favorite!!! I had been hearing about Panic Attack Haunted Attraction for years, but I finally decided to check it out after a coworker told me how much he loved working there. I was initially unsure if it would be kid-friendly, but he assured me that the actors tone things down for younger guests. I ended up taking my two oldest sons (now 14 and 11), and we had an absolute blast! It’s become a yearly tradition for us—my 9-year-old and wife still won’t go, but my brother has joined us for the last three years.

Panic Attack only gets better each year! The experience starts while you’re waiting in line, where there’s a DJ playing music to keep the energy up and actors dressed as monsters roaming around, scaring people and posing for pictures. It’s such a fun, eerie atmosphere, perfect for getting you ready for what’s inside.

Once you’re in, it’s a continuous flow of mind-blowing scares: an insane asylum, alien spaceship, creepy slaughterhouse, fishing company, and so much more. Each section flows seamlessly into the next, so you don’t miss a single thrill.

The chainsaw guys are a highlight for us—they sound so real and high-performance, like they could slice through some wood with ease. There’s even this awesome sweet exhaust smell, like they’re running on racing fuel or something—it adds to the thrill! Panic Attack never lets me down! This haunt is one of the best and I love how much they have grown over the years. House, sets, and characters are always amazing. Characters interact very well and make the experience so much fun. The staff here is fantastic. I loved the Little Mermaid 🫶🏽. Can not wait to see next years theme! I’m hoping for a Texas Chainsaw Massacre room next year!!! Pricing was worth what they have there in my opinion. Wait times can be long. We arrived at 730 and didn’t get inside until around 930 however, this was okay as I like the wait part and build up to getting into the house. House was 35-45 minutes to get through. We were not rushed at all inside. We actually took a wrong turn and had to get help 😂. There was live music and monsters that came around and entertained us. If you are impatient you should buy the fast pass. One thing I missed this year was how in some previous years after the haunt there was an area that had snakes and gators you could interact with. I really enjoyed that in years before. They do have a really cute gift area where I had an amazing apple cider slushy that they made me! What can I say other than I really love The Panic Attack!
