This was the second dog park I took my young shepherd husky mix because a lady I met at another one recommended it to me. I came it thinking, "Awesome. It's really large and spacious and has tons of grass." My pup loves dog parks. But why 1 star? She got attacked by a small and chubby dashound. My girl ran from and the dashound kept chasing her. As she ran, I guess she ran near its owner and he pulled out a spray bottle and was going to spray her. That angered me so much, his dog try's to harm my dog and tries to punish my dog? No, I don't think so. My dog (if she really wanted to) could have fought back and caused serious damage to his dog, but did not. Then after that, there was this adorable male pitbull, and just after they smelled one another, he started growling an then snapped at her. She ran off back to me. At that point, I could no longer tolerate these dogs, as we tried leaving, a group of three or so small dogs were growling and snapping at my puppy. And I could believe that their owner(s) did nothing. As soon as I opened the safety gate my dog ran out. We haven't returned since. I don't mind driving the extra 3 or so miles to Fullerton Pooch Park where I know that won't (most likey based in our...
Read moreThe park itself is a nice area. There is lots of room and grass for dogs to play in. This is the only reason I am giving it 2 stars. Although my first time here was unpleasant. There were 3 aggressive dogs and one lady in denial that her dog was aggressive. I was here with a great dane group and a German shepard was becoming aggressive and bit a dog in my group. Later my dog went to the water bowl where this German shepard was and it tried biting my dog also. I grabbed my dog and headed back to my group I was telling them that I was going to say something to the owner of the dog about having their dog there. Once I said that, some lady with two kids started going off on me, calling me names and threatening me. All in front of her kids. Okay, I am really going to fight you in front of kids, in front of my mom who was there and over nothing. She should not have had her dog there just like a few other people. She tried to say her dog is a puppy and 1 year old. Hmm because my great dane is 4 months old, bigger than most dogs there and was gentle as can be, just...
Read moreThis is a great place to bring your social dogs so they can be social butterflies, frolic, and you can also get to know people. The large dog park does tend to have a lot of German Shepard owners that come but the dogs are fairly well looked after. When the fur flies the owners are pretty decent about getting after their little ones so they can keep them behaved. The small dog park where I take my dogs is very well looked after and has a dedicated core group that even has their own social media group that has little doggy Birthday parties for every month of the year and holiday events for paws and guest. They also sometimes have little meet ups with pet vendors and everything. This is definitely a unique little place with a great cross section of caring owners who range from rescuers to purebred show households keeping up a breed for the preservation for coming...
