A Bite of Jersey — Restaurant in Garden Grove

My husband and I have been eating at Bite of Jersey for years. The food is very good; however, the manager is not very friendly 1 star for him. 4 stars for food and help. In my opinion if you have a long time customer maybe you might want to be nicer. I have struggled with this for a while. He can barely mutter hello when we come in. Last straw yesterday when I brought my dog sitter and my dog in the stroller. Ordered food to take to my husband in memory care. I got the OK to bring the dog in as we were ordering to go. Then the owner comes out and very inappropriately rude tells me to take the dog outside. I don't have a problem with taking the dog outside. I do have a problem the way he angrily addressed it. Then I heard him yelling at the girl who works there. I have seen this for years there and you never should discipline employees in front of your customers. The food was okay. I got the Philly Cheesesteak with wiz. They put the wiz on the bun and not on top of the meat so I had to ask for them for extra cheese. Instead of bringing me a side of cheese they took my sandwich back to the kitchen to add the cheese. I just found that a little odd. I got the wiz on the side for my daughter and when she asked for extra Wiz they took the little cup from her and refilled it I guess they're trying to not have extra dishes. My daughter found a hair in her food and then we brought it to the manager's attention they tried to explain it away instead of just comping the sandwich. Now the bad part. The customer service is just not there. The girl that took the order was aloof and when asked what kind of oil they use for their French fries answered with it's the same oil used to fry everything. They never once came to check on us unless they saw me getting up to come see them. We did not feel welcomed. All in all this place was not worth the $38 we paid the eat there. I will...

Great place to enjoy a beverage and watch any type of sports game. The food comes out fast and tastes good either to-go or dining in. Staff is friendly and the location has a great family feel.

A word to the wise though, this location caters to Philadelphia Eagle fans. So if you do come, wear your kelly green and leave your feelings at the door. The crowd can get rough. Go Eagles!

This place still does not disappoint me. We have done several take aways and dine ins and the crew here always takes care of us . The food is delicious for the times you need comfort food. If you have a chance, grab a pint with your meal. This place has a homely feel.
