The place is beautiful and the animals are happy and healthy, but I can't stand the feeling of being treated like a second rate guest. I went alone with my daughter on a weekday, and it seemed like everyone else was in groups on private guided tours. They had privileged access to the animals, which were often crowded by people in the pens so we couldn't see and so the animals wouldn't come our way. A guide told us to come back on a weekend where there are public guided tours. She said she couldn't let us with her group in the pen to pet the new lambs because of liability reasons. I get that, I do, it's the set up that's wrong. When you are the only one who can't pet the animals, you get the sinking feeling that everyone is on the fast track, and you have no way of joining them to share in their fun. That being said, it looked like the people in the groups really had a lot of fun, so if you wanna go on a weekday, go in a group of 10 and get a tour, it's...
Read moreI worked with Lanette Anderson and Katie Hudd on flowers for my wedding and the experience was amazing. I was determined to find organic flowers for my event, but had a hard time finding an affordable option in the Bay Area. Then I found Hidden Villa! Katie worked with me on my vision and the quote, and the price was much less than I had seen for more mainstream, non-organic vendors. She was friendly, extremely helpful and thorough in our communications. Lanette helped the rest of the way, providing clear instructions and communications leading up to meeting with our family friend to hand off our flowers for our big day. I was stunned by the beautiful arrangements and received many compliments. This experience far exceeded my expectations, and it felt even better knowing I was supporting a nonprofit. Thanks so much to the Hidden Villa team for your commitment to the environment, and for your exemplary...
Read moreI have loved this park and its trails â but they decided to get political.
For their upcoming Sheep Shearing & Fiber Arts Festival (4/19/25) â they have introduced âequity ticketingâ, âequity admissionâ and âequity pricingâ.
For example, if you have âimmigration-related expensesâ, you receive discounted admission of $15 versus the general publicâs $33.85 + $3.85 fee.
I regularly went to Hidden Villa (and donated to them) because it was a place to escape. To be in nature and with animals. As someone who grew up in extreme poverty, and actually knows what itâs like â I donât appreciate an organization that opines on political soapboxes while charging $38 to watch them...
