Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation — Attraction in Los Angeles

What can I say, this was just an incredible experience. There are some pieces in here that were just amazing to be within the presence of. Thr house is supposed to be "just as it was left by Weisman", and it really does look like it was lived in. Great care and deliberation have been taken in the decoration, placement, and thoughtfulness in the design and layout of this house, but also in it's preservation. If you have an opportunity to schedule a tour here, please do yourself a favor and take it.

The docent was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed excited to be there, which made the tour a very pleasurable time, albeit moving a little quickly. I know they have other tours scheduled, sometimes back-to-back, but I really wish I would've had a little more time to linger in some of the areas, as there's just so much to see (you could honestly spend an hour just appreciating each room, nonetheless the entire property).

While it is necessary to book your tour well in advance, the tour is well worth it if you have any interest in modern art. The Weismans collected art with flair, and it is a pleasure to view the many works of art on display at their former home in Beverly Hills. Don’t miss the vintage cars in the garage at the end of the tour, and buying the compilation book of the collection is highly recommended.
