Hawk On Hand Falconry — Attraction in Los Angeles

Experience: 5/5 - It was my first time falconry experience. It was very educational and entertaining. As far as the experience itself is concerned, I am very happy with it.

Communication: 1/5 - The owner was poor at communication. I reached out multiple times but I hadn’t received a response.

It was only after I left a negative review sharing my frustration about communications did I receive a response from him but there was no apologies whatsoever.

Timely, reliable communication is very, very important for me especially when it comes to expensive services and experiences like this. I literally waited more than a year to purchase this experience.

Also, I wish he takes his verbal commitment more seriously for his own professionalism in the future.

Logistics: 3/5 - The park where the experience took place was quite big. It took me a while to find the falconer. I wish there was a sign or more detailed instructions before hand.

You pay at the end of experience. I know it’s small details, but I wish he had told us about it in the instructions.

Payment is either via cash or Zelle. As the instructions said reception at the park is not great. I recommend bringing cash. Also, I hope he would offer PayPal or other credit card payment and other forms of advance payment options in the future.

Overall, I think communication and logistics part could have handled smoothly and professionally if he had an assistant who could assist with them. (He definitely seemed to be in a position to hire somebody else.) That way, he could focus on what he’s good at and passionate...

Hawk On Hand Falconry offers one of the best raptor encounter experiences I've ever come across! My son and I spent the morning in awe of the magnificent birds; Fox the Harris Hawk, Ozzie a Eurasian Eagle Owl and Lola a Falcon. It was spectacular to see them up close in a natural environment, learn about their habits and stories, and the best part was flying them! Educational, exciting and a one-of-a-kind experience you’ll want to repeat over and over again! Adam Baz (owner) is professional, knowledgeable, interesting and obviously cares greatly for the raptors in his care. We were also very impressed with Adam’s philosophy about the raptors, reflecting that they are wild birds, not pets, and he respected them as such. All in all I would HIGHLY recommend Hawk on Hand. The perfect gift for a friend, an experience to share with loved ones or just a great day out for an outstanding adventure – definitely 10*’s! If I could rate this higher I would. We had such an amazing experience with Adam I would recommend it to anyone. Adam arrived on time, was extremely friendly and professional, very informative and overall gave us a wonderful experience with his beautiful birds. We did the triple threat experience and it was so worth it and probably the best bundle you could get with him. It really exceeded my expectations, not only did Adam inform us on the history of falconry and his methods of training his animals but we also got to hold and pet his barn owl (Archie)! And fly his harris hawk (Jasper) and an African buzzard augar (kanoni). It was such a surreal and beautiful experience that we will never forget I am extremely grateful to have shared that experience. If anyone is on the fence about doing this I 100 percent recommend just doing it....
