A scenic road at the top of Reseda Blvd where hikers and bicyclists go to enjoy the beautiful view of the San Fernando Valley. This area includes several trails throughout the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy property. Marvin Braude was a developer many years ago who bought this land and donated it to the conservancy. How fortunate for us that the property takes up a huge portion of untouched land for visitors, local wildlife, and flora and fauna. It is a well needed escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Read moreA gem atop the valley. The Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park at the very top of Reseda boulevard in Tarzana is a natural oasis of native flora and fauna. The initial climb up the hill (both from the parking area and to the fire road) will wind you if you’re out of shape, but once you’re at the top the views make the huffing and puffing worth it. Also, the fire roads are well groomed and neat, but keep an eye out for closed or washed out trails. If you venture off the path, the edges can be steep and treacherous.
