Nice set of well maintained trails. There's a nice mix of paths with varying intensities, so if you don't like one, just choose another. The neighborhood gate gives easy access to the flatter areas if you aren't up to hiking down from 25th. The weekend was pretty crowded but folks were nice & everyone shared the trails without issue.
Like most of the hiking spots in the area, it can get uncomfortably hot in the middle of the day. Timing walks for sunrise & sunset give fantastic ocean views, plus the temperature is much milder.
Caution: some of the connecting trails have a lot of cactus. Even sticking to the center of the trail 90% of the time, I got stuck in my calf & I had to brush some spines out of the dog's fluff. People under age of 55 (?) and young kids are discouraged from living there? This community offers swimming pools and other amenities. The houses are...
Read moreOdd spot for a trail coming out of a residential neighborhood but once you get past that fence you get an incredible ocean view. Trail can be a little narrow at times but it’s not too bad, and to prevent you from falling over (and potentially off a cliff) any obstacles are spray painted orange. This doesn’t seem like an official trail or anything but it does connect to one. Would have gone further but it was really hot even at the coast so kept it relatively short. Cool...
