Viewpoint at Temescal Ridge Trail — Attraction in Los Angeles

If you take Temescal Ridge Trail up, the hike is harder due to the steep elevation changes and little shade.

If you take Temescal Canyon Falls up, the hike is easier due to the lesser elevation changes and abundance of shade.

This Viewpoint is a great place to stop and take in the scenery on the Temescal Trail Loop. You can see to the West all down to the ocean and to the east you can see Santa Monica all the way to downtown Los Angeles. The west side of prochain of the Temescal Trail Loop is more exposed to the Sun and when you turn on the Canyonside there's more shaded areas...

Compared to some other hikes around L.A., this one is relatively easy. Climbed it with my 9 year old son, and he managed it well. View from the top is great - you can see across to Pasdena, all the way out down to Palos Verdes and way out to the ocean. Smog can restrict this of course, so go...
