Lacombe School, built in 1913 in Lacombe, Louisiana as a one-story two-room schoolhouse, was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It was then the Lacombe Museum. It is now known as the Bayou Lacombe Museum. It is a "plain" building with a tin hipped roof.

Cool museum. The gentleman working was pretty darn proud of what they have, what they are working on and the progress that has been made. Well worth the trip to Lacombe. $3 admission and a lot of history of the area. They are only open for three days a week, so make sure they are open before driving up.
