This bridge is incredibly important to Belle Chasse and every town to the south of it.
There has been talk of a possible toll booth.
I think this is a terrible idea.
Nearly half of the population south of this bridge its military.
So, by implementing a toll, you are picking the pockets of service members to pay for Plaquemines Parrish needs.
The solution to your money problem is this...allow more big business in Plaquemines Parrish and stop restricting it to local mom & pop shops. The food is not really great here anyways.
More attraction bring more people.

While it was nice to have a protective pediatrician walkway it is a shame it wasn't built wider, no way will it be able to accommodate more than a few people at a time. You can't walk side by side comfortably, if someone's coming in the other direction you have to step close to the wall. If a bike needs to pass you just about have to turn sideways. I called them up and asked them why they were not taking it out of my account; they said that I had to verbally ask them to do it.
