Jalapenos Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Louisiana

Absolutely terrible. Had the wheat burrito, and was so soggy, I could not look at for a minute. The shrimp tail was cold and obviously just heated up. There was fly flying around my food as well. I can not describe how terrible and disgusting this experience was for me and family. Did not have authentic food at ALL. Overpriced for just 3 people. The experience was terrible and the waiter barely talked. Terrible decorations and theme as well. I hated the food, I hated the location, and I HATE this restaurant. We had the opportunity to give a farewell to a good friend and colleague, unfortunately that meant sitting outside on their patio, because the dining room is not built for large parties. However they did have some fans circulating the air and it was also covered so we were outside of the direct heat.

The Service was as good as it could have been given the size of our group, but it would have been nice to have had our drinks refilled or to have pitchers of tea and water left for us to refill ourselves.

I opted for the Bierria tacos and they did not disappoint. My only comment was the melted cheese was on the inside of the taco vs. on the outside as I am used to. The broth was very flavorful and the additional salsa was smokey and had a nice heat to it.

Everyone else's dishes looked equally tasty and portions were ample for a mexican style restaraunt. The starter of chips and salsa was flavorful too. The waitress took my order over the phone and when I walked to the restaurant to get my food , which was supposed to be 1 pork soft taco with only meat cheese and sour cream, she said it was $12. I asked her why it was so much and she told me I ordered a pork tamale, and I politely said no ma’am it was a soft taco. She rudely tried telling me 3 times that she’s sure I ordered the tamales. I wasn’t rude with her at all, I even told her she misunderstood and she then got an attitude and asked if I just wanted the tamale because they were going to throw it away. I couldn’t afford the tamale for one and for 2 I ordered a taco. She grabbed the bag she had made went to the cook and said something rude in spainish and when she handed me the correct order I said thank you and she didn’t say a word.
