Louisville Point Park — Attraction in Louisville

nice place when they are open when you get there..guy running the place acts like its a big bother to him to have to open and close that gate and will try to run you out of there long before dark so he can start drinking his beer..wasn't even open today after a 45 drive there..i guess it was too cold for him to walk 50 feet to open that gate..if a man buys . fishing license he ought to be able to fish during park hours..make all the excuses you want about the cold because i have fished there 20 years and only recently has weather been a problem..i sat at the gate an hour and a half and when he came outside wouldn't even...

Here right now for the first time. My neighbor came along since shes been here before. I really like it. Plenty of room an parking. Not many people here. Lots of boats and fishing. You can swin but theres some rocks you got to get over not big ones. Id wear water shoes. I swam with catfish no problem but then a snake came out the rocks that were in the water as i was comming out. I probably well actually lol i wont be going back in. Lovely location for a picnic, or great place to launch your boat for fun or pleasure on the water; enjoy the shade under large trees or sunshine spread across the grass, take in the fresh air, nice breezes and views across the lake. Not sure about fishing, but the jet-skiers have a great time! Careful finding your turn off the main highway, signage is inadequate. This park could use some volunteers to pick up debris and litter, also maintenance of eroded grounds where trip hazards can cause accidents...
