In the year of our Lord, two-thousand and twenty-four, whilst engaged in the fervent pursuit of my honorable duty as a soldier of the Confederate States, I chanced upon what I took to be a Union stronghold, henceforth referred to as Union Landing. Armed with a resolute spirit and fervent loyalty to my cause, I approached with my comrades, prepared to lay siege to this fortification of the enemy.
Upon my arrival, however, I was met not with cannon fire nor the rallying cries of the Union, but rather with an aroma most heavenly wafting through the airāan enticing fragrance that beckoned my senses as surely as the sirens of myth. My initial intentions of valor were soon clouded by the allure of sustenance that danced upon the breeze.
As I crossed the threshold into this establishment, I was greeted by an ambiance that was both inviting and splendidly adorned, replete with rustic charm. The hearth, a blazing beacon of warmth, provided a stark contrast to the chill of battle I had anticipated. I was swiftly ushered to a table by a most gracious host, whose demeanor was disarming and kind, rendering my martial intent rather misplaced.
Upon perusal of the menu, I found myself in a state of bewilderment. Each dish, it seemed, was crafted with the utmost care and attention, promising a feast that would delight even the most discerning palate. My heart, previously set upon conquest, was now enraptured by the offerings that lay before me.
I partook of the fried catfish, a delicacy so exquisitely prepared, it felt as though I had been transported to a realm beyond the tumult of war. The crispy exterior gave way to tender, flaky flesh, enhanced by a seasoning that danced across the tongue. Accompanying this delight were sides of collard greens and cornbread, each bite a testament to the culinary artistry that flourished in this unexpected bastion of flavor.
Furthermore, I indulged in a peach cobbler that would rival even the most resplendent of Southern summer picnics. The fruit, sweetened just so, rested beneath a golden crust that crumbled delightfully, each spoonful a reminder of home and comfort, far removed from the horrors of battle.
In truth, the soldiers at my side, initially armed and eager for conflict, found themselves similarly entranced by the delights of Union Landing. What began as a foray into enemy territory transformed into a celebration of shared camaraderie over sumptuous victuals.
As I pen these words, I find it necessary to confess that perhaps not all battles need be fought with muskets and cannons. Instead, I declare that the true victory lies in the ability to embrace the pleasures of life, even amid the tumult of our times. Union Landing Restaurant stands not as a stronghold of the Union, but as a sanctuary for all who seek to nourish both body and spirit.
Thus, I heartily recommend this establishment to any weary traveler, soldier or civilian alike, who may find themselves in the vicinity. For here, amidst the dining of both friend and foe, a harmony is achieved that transcends our divisionsāa victory of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust walked out this restaurant after waiting an hour for food. I eventually asked if we should just cancel our order and the waitress answered with itās up to you but itās still a few back. Apparently their kitchen staff and wait staff are not capable doing their job. We were hopeful that with new management this restaurant would be good since we are the marina all the time. We will not be back l!!
In response to the owner below: it was NOT our check that took a long time. It was that we NEVER got our food while other tables came in after us and got served their food and finished before us. We were extremely patient. Itās your response that shows immaturity. Itās a restaurant so one would think getting food would be expected. So you are wrong they did not do a āamazingā job and a manager that cared about his customers would have recognized that.
Bottom line : extremely slow service, poor management, and I canāt wait to share this review response with all my...

My husband said the bologna smash burger was the best burger he has ever had in his life! My smash burger was delicious and everyone else was more than happy with the wings and burgers! Jerrica provided wonderful service and even gave us a little history about Union Landing and their other restaurants in the area! I wish we could enjoy a Union property in Oak Ridge sometime soon, but until then, I think we will be making many more trips to Louisville for the incredible food! Thank you Jerrica and Union Landing! We...
