The park's most prominent feature is its pristine spring-fed pond, a tranquil oasis surrounded by lush greenery and hiking trails. The clear waters of the pond are perfect for fishing, and the scenic trails provide a delightful opportunity to explore the park's natural beauty. It's an ideal spot for picnicking, birdwatching, and wildlife observation, offering a sense of serenity and rejuvenation.

One of the unique aspects of Schramm Park is its educational facilities. The Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium within the park provides fascinating insights into the aquatic life of Nebraska, with informative exhibits and interactive displays that engage and educate visitors of all ages. The park also hosts educational programs, making it an excellent destination for families and those interested in learning more about the local ecosystem.

The park staff is knowledgeable and passionate about the park's natural and cultural history, and they are always eager to share their expertise with visitors. Their enthusiasm adds depth to the overall experience and provides valuable insights into the park's ecosystem.

Schramm Park State Recreation Area is well-maintained, with clean facilities, picnic areas, and nature trails. It's a perfect location for a day trip, a weekend escape, or a serene retreat, offering a blend of outdoor adventure and educational...

First they had full rates ($14 for out of state which in itself is a terrible way to get people to visit your parks Nebraska!) to park there even though most of the areas were closed/looking terrible due to "construction". Not all trail closures were even listed. Attacked by knats the entire 2 miles we walked, it is so bad it's debilitating for little ones who don't understand why bugs are trying to get into their ears and eyes. We were so disappointed with the views, bugs, and trails that we just left. Was the worst state park I've ever been to and we have been to over 15 states and many more parks. It's one thing to temporarily have these problems but it's another to not properly inform visitors and still charge them full price...

Great hiking trails and impressive small state park. Right beside Platte River which you can walk to. Has a climbing area which the kids really enjoy. Total trails cover 3 miles with fairly easy inclines, great for a morning hike. They were doing prescribed burning while we were there this time so some parts were a little smokey but should make for some beautiful forest habitat in the future. Our hiking group included three of us in our early 40's and three teens, everyone had an easy time on the trails completing it all in less than 2 hrs. Plenty of benches along the way if you need to rest. Really cool bike repair station at pond trailhead that includes tools and a bike pump. Only place to fill water bottles was the...

I like going to Schramm park for the trail. There is a suspension bridge and a few other scenic areas on it. The trail I prefer isn't difficult and is about two miles. I usually take my dog, as the trail is wide and there is plenty of room. The park itself is clean, well shaded with plenty of picnic tables, benches and a restroom. There are fish to feed and usually ducks or geese hanging around. Also, a little playground for kids. It's a good place to spend a few hours.
