Shawnee Park — Attraction in Louisville

Not Quite A Community Park. I live Right Across The Street. But only once while, does one of Our Residents go over there.

Years Ago My Oldest Brother, even Played in the Basketball Dirt Bowel.

Eliott Park is Better For That. Family , Friendly thing, Sitting enjoying the Environment.

Nice to sit Across Street Look at .

Most People Don't know the Guy who Built Central Park in New York, Also Built Shawnee Park and our Central Park in Down Town. Also the Small Park by the University of Louisville Male Dorm, off 4th Street .was built by him.

Interesting thought: The Park have no lights in them. Because of who built them. And in it's contract. They can't dig it up to put in modern lights.

Its very dark around walk way, tennis courts, basket ball courts.

Interesting Fact; As a student,I lost my watch,.I had stopped by this picnic table.

So after class on my way home. I took small flash light. And walked towards the table. My watch was on ground.

But there were 3 guys sitting on the table. I didn't see till I got to the table. Scared me to death.

I quickly walked away. That How dark it is or was in that park. Shawnee is similar.

When I first moved down here I noticed How dark the park was. Spooky. There are street lights now.

You could film an Stephen King movie there..

But Friendly it ain't, and Welcoming it. Ain't. Sometimes your neighbors come out stare at you, Like why are you there,?

Some kids play foot Ball up the way. And a small baseball area. You also don't see many Dog walker with out Stricks.

To keep others dogs away. All dogs are supposed be on leases,

Sit to long Neighbors might call the man. To controlling Area for me.

A very controlling Area.

To take Blanket and sit with my animal sit and end joy the environment. Maybe eat., under trees, feel a breeze. And no one really bother you. Its Elite Park. Sometimes I go thru to go to our Kroger. It nice. Most people never bother you, They keep to them selves.

Shawnee I go to local store. But rather than walk thru park home.I stay on the bus, Ride home, and pay a second fare. No...

A COWARD: SITS AND WATCHES ,AS BAD THINGS GO ON. AND DOESN'T TRY TO CHANGE ANYTHING.

ONE DAY THEY FAUGHT, AND PEOPLE WERE UPSET.

THIS SITUATION EFFECTED, MORE THAN HIM.

STILL: WHY DID HE NOT FEED THEM.

SOME OF US CAN SLEEP NOW.

COMPLAINT: ANIMAL SERVICES ANIMAL RESCUE.

THE FERAL ANIMALS , HERE WILL CONTINUE TO BE FEED. AND CARED FOR ;

BY GOOD PEOPLE, NOT BULLIED AWAY OR RUN OFF ,BY BAD NEIGHBORS.

Even Central Park Downtown Has a Sit For A Spell Environment,

They Are Working On A New Elliot Park,

That Is An Even More Inviting Place To SIt and Walk .

SO THIS ISN'T YOUR ONLY...

Fights breakout at this park with kids playing around! This park has a lot of gang activity and drug dealing goes on a lot at this park! Two females who was fighting came over to the pavilion was and started fighting while my family reunion was going on! The police is always riding around and walking around in this park looking for people selling drugs all over the park! This ghetto park is located in the heart of the hood! They call this the " Hood Park " and there is also stealing that goes on at this park! It was a shooting during the annual Juice bowl football games and two people was killed here! The dirt bowl basketball tournament they have is ghetto basketball players from the hood! This park is not safe for anybody to go to because there is no telling what can or might happen to you at anytime...
