Pretty, old long narrow covered bridge across a pretty Pennsylvania stream. Worth seeing. Walking trail along the creek below the dam. Saw a bald eagle chasing a heron on the last visit. Saw kingfishers, either a green heron or a bittern today. Herons, Baltimore Oriole, and a deer.

This is the fourth bridge on my trip and possibly the longest as it connects Chester and Lancaster Counties at the spillway to the Octorora Lake and generating station. Traffic will move fast through it so I would not recommend walking through it especially with young children.

Took a detour on the way back to Maryland and came across this covered bridge. Did not have much time to see it but next time I hope to explore the area more. The drive in this area of Pennsylvania is really nice and relaxing.

Nice cover bridge but even nicer fishing spot. Bridge is single lane obviously and is an iconic PA structure. Underneath it, the octoraro creek flows from a dam just below the lake of the same name. There a decent size gravel patch for parking too. Deep pockets of water with rapids. Would be a decent spot to float too. I saw trout, largemouth, sunnies, shads, and the...
