A Hidden Surprise in Southern Lancaster County
Wayvine Vineyards is an absolute standout among Pennsylvania wineries—and that’s coming from someone who usually isn’t a fan of PA wine! Tucked away in the beautiful rolling hills of southern Lancaster County, this vineyard offers not only stunning views but also a genuinely enjoyable wine experience that exceeded my expectations.
One of the things I love most about Wayvine is the diversity of their wine varietals. Whether you're into dry reds, crisp whites, or something a bit more adventurous, there's truly something for every palate. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and they go above and beyond to help you find the wine that suits you best—no pressure, just great hospitality.
The ambiance is just as impressive as the wine. Inside, the tasting room is cozy and relaxing, perfect for lingering over a glass or flight. There’s also plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so you can soak up the sun on a nice day or stay comfortable inside when the weather isn’t ideal. The views from the property are absolutely picturesque and add to the overall peaceful vibe.
Wayvine also regularly features live music, which enhances the laid-back atmosphere and makes every visit feel like a special occasion. On top of that, they offer more than just wine—there’s a solid selection of craft beers and cocktails, so everyone in your group will find something they enjoy. Their homemade pizzas are a delicious bonus, and they even allow you to bring in your own food if you prefer to pack a picnic.
Overall, Wayvine Vineyards is a refreshing and welcoming spot that’s perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening. The combination of quality drinks, friendly service, and beautiful surroundings makes this place one of my new favorites in the southern end....
Read moreWayvine feels like family every time. They have an atmosphere like no other in our area. The newly built space fits the brand so perfectly and literally made with love. We last stopped in on Mother's Day and many moms had the same idea because what mom doesn't need a glass of wine or 5. It was quite busy but they made it work so well. They created more tables and space, never rushed anyone and are welcoming to kiddos. They have a great mix of wines as well as cocktails and beer. The guys are so knowledgeable and helpful which just adds to the experience. Also even if you know what wine you typically like but you've never been, I highly suggest their tasting as you just may surprise yourself for your next glass or bottle choice. If you love wine, love supporting local business, love a great atmosphere with ample parking this is the...
Read moreWe just visited this small young winery this weekend and wow what an experience. First off, I love when wineries in the area grow their own grapes. Sounds so crazy but so many in the area just don't do that. So that's a great start. Second, it was a slow winter day so I'm sure that helped, but we had such a friendly personalized experience. It felt like we were just visiting a friend and trying some wine. We tried only 6 wines but spent over an hour there, talking and exchanging stories. It's a beautiful vineyard even in the midst of a snowy winter. And unlike most local wineries their selection is entirely classic, dry wines that are right up our alley. Wonderful experience and we now have every intention of returning in the spring/summer to enjoy this place to its fullest. A must visit on your next Chester county...
