Stopped by this park on our way home from Big Bear Lake. Located in Lucerne Valley off Old Woman Springs Road. There is plenty of free parking along the curtilage of the park and there are several different sectors within the park. They include tennis courts, baseball park, covered picnic area, playground for kids, restrooms, beautiful green grass areas with many benches and shade trees. We believe the park is open from dusk to dawn but not 100 percent sure about that. The only issue we had at the time of our visit was with several homeless men acting oddly inside the park, and constantly going into and out of the restrooms looking around then disappearing again. After observing this behavior for over 20 minutes, we decided it was best to leave. Otherwise, this is a great place to stop and have a picnic on the grass or just enjoy...
Β Β Β Read moreAuthorities turned off the water fountains and locked the bathrooms during COVID. Today, Easter Sunday, 2023, still no water in the fountains and still no open bathrooms. The county, if that's who administers this park, graciously installed a porta potty, in lieu of flush toilets. Yippee! Right? Well, not so much. There were at least 200 people in this small park today. 200 people for one toilet. Sigh. Then, and I had to laugh, the sprinklers came on during prime user time and effectively limited use of the grassy area by 25 percent. This a nice little park. Too bad it suffers from...
