Cafe 247 — Restaurant in Lucerne Valley

Alright new timers tried this place today. Not impressed. The cafe itself is cool place for pictures if thats what your into. Live band, lots of people I dont understand the hype surrounding it. I will tell you that the person who mans the BBQ station does not know what the heck they are doing. We got the sampler bbq tray and when we got it, it was cold! The only thing that was warm was the beans on the tray. The kielbasa didnt have any char marks on it and might as well just came from the fridge. The appeal this place gives off is hungry bikers on the road for a long time they will eat anything (even cold meat). For as bad as the food was the place was busy with business which just tells me people are settling for this junk. We payed close to $100 for cold meat and the stuff that was hot came from the kitchen so overall no real consistency outside as in. Pro tip you can go miles down the road to horsemens center ranch and find a dead lizard lying on the rocks and it will be 10 times hotter in temperature when it gets to you then what we got with BBQ at this place. Also if you find someone with better BBQ skills this place would do so much better and you would probably make more money with returing customers that actually want to eat your food. The wait for drink refills is ridiculous! Centered in the desert put a soda machine out for your customers! The ginger haired girl wearing crocks who was helping us was very sweet and informative that was a plus (she needs a raise) She offered us a sample of the meats that they had for the day but even the sample was cold (funny part i was thinking ok ..the food that we ordered will be much hotter then this.... it wasnt) All in all id say a let down for my family! My mother took me out for late mothers day and left very unsatisfied but thats what reviews are for! If you are looking for something tasty China House is right before this place and has always been a staple for our family! I WOULDNT WASTE ANOTHER PENNY EATING HERE THIS IS YOUR...

Since embarking on my road trip I’ve come across some best described as interesting food experiences and Cafe 247 is like something out of a movie. In most cases, I'm passing through with a good chance of never returning so I'll usually ask the staff what they think I should try. And this case was no different having both the front counter staff and chef recommend the loaded all-meat breakfast Barrido with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and all the great ingredients required for deliciousness. This place is like a roadside attraction that at first glance might cause you to question whether or not to stop but I highly recommend taking the chance.

After parking, when walking up to the front door of the restaurant you immediately start to make sense of all the old cars, motorcycles, and fabricated metal objects along with two outdoor live music stages... Wow! It’s hard to believe how my most memorable food experiences have all been in obscure or out-of-the-way destinations and Cafe 247 is on that list of cool places! Yep, this place is awesome and the staff is super cool. And when it comes to personal life experiences know that these are good people and it's worth...

This is not my first time coming to cafe 247 and it won't be my last I really like the food the atmosphere and the service they really go above and beyond when it comes to good food.....but what I don't like and thus the reason for the three stars is nobody brings the food out to your table no one comes and refills your coffee/soft drinks or picks up your plates after you are done eating you get no table service what so ever and yet they charge you 20% gratuity if you're bill is over $100.00 which I find to be upsetting a restaurants job is to serve the people and get paid for what you order or consume and not get paid or penalized for ordering over $100.00 .....this type of service has always turned me away restaurant have forgotten that it's the type of service that your waiter or waitress provides that determines whether or not you even deserve a tip ....so I tend to stay away from these types of restaurants I found this out the hard way after spending over $150.00 and20% was added to my bill......I will however continue to go to 247 but it will be only on days when my kids are...
