It was a sunny day when I decided to watch the movie Despicable Me at me under water condo, and after watching the villain Vector, steal the moon that gave me an idea. I was going to steal the Ludington Breakwater Lighthouse. I acted immediately, stealing a plane at the nearby Mason County Airport and flying to the coast of China to steal the powerful shrink ray of El Diablo. I flew back to Ludington just in time for my fuel to run out and crash on the beach in the area behind the little put put thingy and skatepark. I then hurried off to the Lighthouse, screaming slurs to Punjabis the entire way. While running down the concrete walkway to the Lighthouse I said one especially mean slur to the area of New Delhi, in the Punjab Plains. And once I finally reached that Lighthouse I gave it a blast of my shrink ray! Once it shrunk to the the size of a mouse I stopped the shrink ray, picked it up and ran back to the Mason airport, stole another plane flying it back to Ohio. And that’s how I completed the biggest heist in...

Lovely lighthouse to visit. There is a walk out onto the pier that might not be easiest for people with limited mobility. Once again, this is a location that involve climbing stairs. My boyfriend and I are slowly planing on visiting all the Lake Michigan Lighthouses and this one was such a nice stop. The volunteers in the lighthouse were friendly and informative. They have a Square so if you don't have cash that is okay, you can charge it. They also do not have a closed-toe shoe policy like some lighthouses do, which is nice for the unprepared visitor. This lighthouse is one of the 4 managed by Sable Point Light Keepers Association, and if you are interested in lighthouses at all you should really get their 4 lighthouse pass. It's 15 dollars for access to all 4 lighthouses, otherwise it is 5 dollars a person at every lighthouse.

Once again, lovely location, kind volunteers, a must for nautical...

Awesome lighthouse! I've loved lighthouses all my life and this one didn't disappoint. A few things to note: 1) Price for an adult to climb to the top is $8 (they accept cash and debit/credit card). 2) The walk from the beginning of the pier to the lighthouse itself is quite lengthy and can be treacherous in bad weather like in the pic below. The lighthouse is also typically closed to the public during bad weather. 3) The stairs to the top are not a spiral staircase. Instead they are a series of very steep stepladders that need to be climbed to each landing before getting to the top (see pic below). This requires a lot of upper body strength as well as strong legs, so if you have a feeling that you might not be able to make it all the way I would recommend sitting...

The sights and lack of sounds during the winter months bring a sense of escape and exploration. During the summer months however there is an influx of people traveling in from out of town. If you truly wish to enjoy what this area has to offer, the fall and winter months may suit you best. If you enjoy being around others then summer is just right for you. I myself find that a nice quiet walk does wonders for the soul. Take the time to experience this area for all it's worth. Enjoy the relaxation during the fall and winter, or you can enjoy the festivities during the summer. Either way, this is a beautiful area. Lighthouses galore line the shore. Just a quick idea of what to expect. Either way, enjoy yourself and welcome to Ludington.
