This is a tucked away spot that is very beautiful because of the nature and river that runs through it. You will see birds and hear the coki frogs, and the flowers. Even though we were there in the winter season, there was still flowers out. The swimming hole is very beautiful and there is a petroglyph on one of the rocks. Read moreBEAUTIFUL location, absolutely jaw dropping and mesmerizing Oasis. Parking is either on the outside and you can cross the street and follow the trail and drive in and there is another parking spot that fits a few cars. Nice 10min walk through different obstacles to get to Charco Azul, just know your sneakers will get very muddy because the trial is wet and full of mixed puddles or mud baths. I recommend slippers or even barefoot, just go slow so you don't slip.

Read moreWe visited the swimming hole on Sunday after hitting up the pork highway in the morning.
While all the buildings were still in disrepair, there wasn't an abundance of trash like others have reported. After a brief walk on a well maintained path, we got to the swimming hole. The water was refreshing, there's a little rock to jump from into the big pool. Below the pool is a shallow stream the baby played in.
There was around 10 people there when we arrived, all very friendly.
